True to its commitment to innovation and excellence in health sciences education, Stellenbosch 万博体育官网's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) introduced its first year students to its health professionals' commitment at the commencement of training – a first for the university.
All health professionals swear an oath once they've completed their training but with the introduction of this commitment at the commencement of their training, FMHS' 2018 first-years are pioneers of the university. In the spirit of the FMHS's vision of advancing health and equality in South Africa, the commitment was read to students in all eleven official languages including sign-language at the 2018 welcoming ceremony.
